Emma Eggs or Seer Stones
These gorgeous stones are hand cut and polished in Madagascar from minerals that naturally occur there.
The main face is polished to a lovely high shine to bring out the stones inner beauty whilst the outside is only lightly smoothed over in order to retain that element of contrast.
The thought is that they are called "Emma or Ema Eggs" as the semi-polished outside looks rather like an Emus egg and Emma maybe a corruption of Emu! Just to complicate matters, they are sometimes known as "Seer Stones" too.
