Blue Jade Tumbled Stone

This Blue Jade comes from the Vonsen Ranch in Marin County, California. Vonsen Jade, as it has come to be known, is a deeper blue and is particularly hard to get hold of these days.

Steve says, I believe that the Vonsen Ranch is no longer extracting any more Blue Jade from their land and this mineral will therefore only become even rarer.

N.B. The Blue Jade that is also termed as Dianite, comes from the Murrin Mountains in Russia and is a lighter blue than this Vonsen Jade.

Do also note that these stones have only been lightly tumbled and rough patches are present on many of the stones. This is by design in order to keep a more natural "feel" to the stones.
