Physical
Dianite is so called as it was discovered in
Siberia, Russia, in 1997, the same year that Diana, Princess of Wales was killed
in a car crash in Paris. The stone was named in her honour. Subsequently it has
been discovered in California and in Canada too and so the alternative names
with their clarification of "Russian Blue" and "Siberian Blue" Jade are now not
completely accurate. Particularly as Dianite is not a type of Jade at all. It is
actually a mix of submicroscopic particles of quartz, tremolite and a blue
amphibole rock called potassium magnesio-arfvedsonite. It is however, still a
valuable healing stone with beneficial properties. Dianite helps to relieve
hyperactivity and is useful in treating arthritis and inflammation of the
joints. It also helps with asthma and bronchial conditions and with blood
circulation. Dianite brings a feeling of warmth to the person holding it.
Mental/Emotional
Dianite works on both the left and right brain
allowing us to have expansive thoughts and empowering our sense of creativity,
whilst at the same time, stimulating rational thoughts and keeping us grounded.
It helps us to stay calm and remain cool when we are under stress. Dianite
relieves anger and stops us being preoccupied with sex all the time. It may also
make us think about things from our past and how they affect our life now.
Dianite engenders a sense of harmony.
Spiritual
Dianite is an excellent stone for those who wish
to be mediums as it helps us to hear the voice within and to consider what we
are hearing. It also helps us to hear the voice of our own spirit guide and the
voice of our own heart. In general, it stimulates our innate psychic abilities
and makes us more aware of the spiritual things around us. Dianite helps to
promote visions and dreams, enhances meditation and helps us to arrive at
decisions based on our own spiritual knowledge and learning. It helps us with
past life learning and with Dianite we may journey back through several past
lives. Dianite is sometimes referred to as a "Philosophers Stone" as it helps us
to see things from above, to see the bigger picture, and not to get caught up in
life's day to day dramas.
