Agni Manitite is a rare tektite found in Indonesia, predominantly on Java and on other small remote islands near Java.
To be technically correct, it is nowadays actually thought to be a pseudo-tektite. A true tektite is any piece of rock from outer space, such as a meteorite, asteroid or comet, that has made it through Earths atmosphere and struck the Earth.
A pseudo-tektite is magma from a, usually huge and ancient, volcanic eruption where the blast would have projected rock into the upper atmosphere where it altered in structure and shape and then fell back to Earth again.
The differences and similarities between the two are still discussed to this day !
Agni Manitite takes it name from the ancient Sanskrit "agni mani" which can be translated as "Pearl of the Divine Fire". It is also sometimes known as "Teardrops of the Moon".
Agni Manitite is a stone of initiation, of initiating something, of starting or beginning something. If we invite the energies of the stone to merge with our own energy fields it can help us to turn the things we thought were only possible into something actual. In other words, it is a strong manifestation crystal.
It can help those of us who are studying, working towards or struggling with Spiritual Awakening, by providing us with the "push" we need to re-double our efforts.
It has a strong resonance with the Sacral Chakra and can help in activating and raising the Kundalini. An ideal stone for those who undertake Kundalini Yoga or tantric practices.
To look at, Agni Manitite is black and rough, but it is a sort of pale smokey light orange inside and if you hold it up to a strong light you can see this effect to a greater or lesser extent depending on how thick or dense a particular piece is.
A rare stone indeed !
