Campo del Cielo No1

The Campo del Cielo Meteorites hit the Earth about 4 - 5,000 years ago although they were only discovered in 1576. However, scientific tests have determined that this meteorite shower is at least 4.5 Billion years old. That is very slightly older than planet Earth and they were formed as part of the original development of our solar system !

They hit the Earth in modern day Argentina, at a location long known as Camp del Cielo (hence the name) which means "Field of the Sky", or perhaps more poetically, "Field of Heaven". Campo del Cielo is in the very North of Argentina at a place called Gran Chaco Gualamba, and the area straddles the modern Provinces of Chaco and Santiago del Estero.

They are generally accepted to be meteorites from the Asteroid Belt that orbits the Sun between Mars and Jupiter. Because the orbit of these Asteroids take them round the Sun and our planet Earth also orbits the Sun, every so often all these Asteroids have to cross our route around the Sun. For this reason, the Campo del Cielo Meteorites are termed as "Apollo Meteorites".

Of course there is a chance that one day one of these will hit our planet, but that is a statistically highly unlikely event !

Like many meteorites, Campo del Cielo is mostly Iron with Nickel and a few trace elements. This of course makes it an extremely grounding stone. It will help to align our energy points and bring each of our Chakras into balance whilst at the same time helping to strengthen and support our auric field. It helps to keep us firmly rooted to the ground even when we are meditating or working with other crystals to reach ever upwards and outwards to the stars and beyond.

Camp del Cielo expands our experience of who we really are. We can look at our higher spiritual self and see where we fit in the cosmic consciousness. It helps us to let go of anger and resentment and to feel more resilient and self-confident in our life.
