Rough or Natural pieces of Ilvaite are comparatively rare these days. Tumble Stones of Ilvaite are as rare as hens teeth !
When we saw these, we bought them all (and when we say all, we mean all 10) there really are that few around !
These stones come from The Huanggang Deposit, Ulanhad League, Inner Mongolia, China.
Yes, they are "flat-ish" rather than tumbled "round". Yes, they have marks on them and yes, they are irregular with pits and crevices. But they are tumbled Ilvaite - rare tumbled Ilvaite !
