Merlinite Tumbled Stone
Merlinite is a black and white stone. A background of White Opal with some dendritic (fern like) inclusions of a black mineral called Psilomelane. Occasionally, there is some Iron/Hematite staining that shows as brown patches. Really nice Merlinite - with a good mix of black and white, with good fern like patterns and with minimal Iron staining - is actually quite hard to come by now days. But that's what we have here ! These are really nice pieces of Merlinite - and they are a very good large size too ! Also note that these are most definitely not the completely Iron stained brown pieces that you see elsewhere.
