you will receive this exact sphere This is a really lovely sphere of Moss Agate. Not your usual "mossy" patterns (well until you look closer and then they are easy to see) but rather "strands" of "moss" running across the surface of the sphere. Look closely at where these strands mingle and you'll see lots of the typical mossy patterns ! There is also a wonderful "cave" filled with small crystals of Quartz - gorgeous ! (Just for the record, there is no actual moss in Moss Agate. The branching and fibrous forms within the stone that look so much like moss are actually Oxides of Manganese or Iron that were present within the stone as it was forming millions of years ago ! ) It has been cut from a gorgeous quality piece of Moss Agate and very nicely polished. However, because it is an Agate, the surface is not 100% dead flat smooth. There are natural cavities, "caves" and crevices within the stone and some of these you may be able to feel. This is simply the way that Agate forms ! Moss Agate gives us the inner strength to carry on with things until they are finished. It also opens us up to the energy of the natural world around us.
