Natural Pink Morganite Crystal This is a gorgeous Natural Crystal of Pink Morganite from Afghanistan ! It is very nicely translucent when you hold it up to the light and you can see into it in several places. There is still quite a bit left showing of the white Albite (probably a variety of Albite called Cleavelandite) in which it had formed. It has not been treated in any way, and this is exactly as it was found. You'll see that it has that lovely "glassy" structure that makes it sought after, as glassy pieces make lovely cut and polished spheres, beads, stones etc etc. Morganite is a member of the Beryl family of stones and this pink variety takes its colour from tiny amounts of Manganese that were present in the structure of the crystal as it was forming. As we say, this piece was found in Afghanistan, but all finds of Morganite, in any country, are happy discoveries as it is quite a rare stone. Size approx. 38mm x 23mm x 19mm
