Natural Pink Morganite This is a gorgeous piece of Natural Morganite from the Kopek Quarry, near Ibadan in South-Western Nigeria. It has not been treated in any way, this is exactly as it was found. You'll see that it has that lovely "glassy" structure that makes it sought after, as glassy pieces make lovely cut and polished spheres, beads, stones etc etc. Morganite is a member of the Beryl family of stones and this pink variety takes its colour from tiny amounts of Manganese that were present in the structure of the crystal as it was forming. As we say, this piece was found in Nigeria, but all finds of Morganite, in any country, are happy discoveries as it is quite a rare stone. Size approx. 62mm x 50mm x 46mm
