Superb Polished Large Rhodochrosite
Large Polished Rhodochrosite This really is a superb polished piece of Rhodochrosite. The top has been polished to bring out the colour and pattern whilst the bottom has been left natural for contrast. There is a lovely "toffee cream" colour to the underside and you can see the amazing structure giving some clue as to how Rhodochrosite forms. But look at that pattern on the top, polished, surface - is that an Angel holding out her wings ?! What a colour this piece is! From Brazil, the varying shades of pink are just superb and the pattern is wonderful too. This is all Rhodochrosite, and with virtually no matrix present on the surface, the pink colour just shines out ! And the pink is a gorgeous shade of pink too ! Really good pieces of Rhodochrosite, in a good size like this piece, are sadly becoming harder and harder to find - but the Rhodochrosite lovers among you out there will already know that.
