Working with a Pendulum

Well how does a pendulum work and what can it do for you ?

Any pendulum, whatever it is made from, can and will achieve the same results. At this point it's worth pointing out that a pendulum can be made from metal, stone, wood etc and can be any size or shape - here at He Hi She Lo we sell only Crystal Pendulums simply because we just love crystals !

A pendulum will only ever show you two answers "Yes" and "No".

To use a pendulum, simply hold the chain between your thumb and forefinger using whatever hand you feel most comfortable using and just let it hang there in front of you. You now need to find out how the particular pendulum you are holding shows you its Yes and its No.

To do this you need to ask it two questions, one of which you positively, absolutely, definitely know the answer to be Yes, and the other of which you positively, absolutely, definitely know the answer to be No ! … And then watch how it responds.

The questions we usually get people to ask is firstly "Am I a Woman?" (most people know whether they are or not !!). If you are a woman, notice how the pendulum moves … this movement will be your Yes response. If you are a man, again notice how the pendulum moves … this movement will be your No response.

The next question we get people to ask is "Am I a Man?" Once again, if you are a woman, notice how the pendulum moves … the movement this time will be your No response. If you are a man, again notice how the pendulum moves … the movement this time will be your Yes response.

Any other questions to which you positively know the answer could also be used. Perhaps, for example, something like "Am I indoors and/or under cover?" and "Am I outdoors in the fresh air?" Depending on where you are standing at the time of asking, you may actually want to delete any references to "fresh" air - but you hopefully understand the point !

You couldn't for example ask "Are all the lights on in this room?"or "Am I standing opposite a person with red hair?" because in the first case, unless you intimately knew the room in which you were standing, you couldn't possibly know if every light was on, and in the second case, hair colouring is readily available !

When we talk about pendulum "movement", it doesn't matter in the slightest whether your pendulum swung left to right, backwards and forwards, or round and round in circles. However it moved for you was the movement you should take note of.

You now have a very powerful tool in your hands.

You can ask countless questions and be guided to an answer. All you have to remember are two important things.

1) Remember to phrase your questions so that the answer you get is either a Yes or a No. For example, at breakfast time you could ask "Are these eggs good for me?" you could also ask "Is this bacon good for me?" Alternatively, you could ask "Is this muesli good for me?" What you couldn't ask is "Would it be better if today I had eggs and bacon or muesli?"

2) Remember to always, always use your pendulum for the Highest Good. We are being guided here by Universal Power. We are making a connection to The Divine, however you perceive that to be. (this is why pendulum dowsing is referred to as one of the divinatory arts). We are allowing our sub-conscious mind to receive spiritual guidance. What we are not doing is trying to pick the winning lines on the Lottery !!
