The stone itself is a relatively recent find from Mexico and was called Cotton Candy after the spun-sugar fairground treat, as the colours look similar ! Like nearly all Agates, there are often tiny little cavities and caves in the stone, some of which are filled with microscopic Quartz crystals. This is simply how Agate forms.
