Diamictite Sphere
you will receive this exact sphere

OK - this is not man made. It is not made from lots of odd bits stuck together (well, at least not by man) !

This is made from Naturally occurring rock.

The rock that this beautiful sphere is cut from comes from India and is called Diamictite.

Diamictite is the name given to non-sorted or poorly sorted Terrigenous Sediment suspended in a matrix of mudstone or sandstone that has been Lithified, i.e turned to rock, over millions of years by compression and heat. So what on Earth is Terrigenous Sediment ?

Terrigenous Sediment is rock or minerals that originally formed on land but have been carried to the sea by the action of volcanic eruptions, landslips, wind, rain, erosion and/or the flow of rivers.

Over millions and millions of years, all this rock and minerals that was once on the land (Tigers Eye, Red Jasper, Malachite, Mudstone, Sand, Quartz and more) all ends up in irregularly sized chunks at the bottom of the sea where it gets more and more compressed, becomes hotter and hotter, and bit by tiny bit, slowly turns into Diamictite Rock.

It is mostly found in India in old sea beds that have now lifted with geological action and slabs are thinly cut and used as a decorative stone.

This sphere was cut from a larger piece and, now rounded and polished, shows many of the stones mentioned above.

It looks strange and unusual and if you are a lover of the unusual, you simply have to have a piece of Diamictite !!

A gorgeous sphere whose healing properties will obviously vary from sphere to sphere depending on the stones and minerals present. If you buy this, do let us know how it works out for you !!
