This lovely piece really caught our eye !
It's a rough piece of Agate from Morocco with one face that has been polished to bring out the amazing colours and patterns of the stone.
The naturally occurring gaps and crevices that are found in most pieces of Agate were filled up with Quartz millions of years ago. Some time later, molten Iron or Hematite flooded into what gaps were left and coloured the Agate itself a reddish colour.
Now that it has been polished, the work of Nature can be easily seen and appreciated !
