These stones have been finished to have a smooth surface, or at least as smooth as it is possible for Shungite to be. Shungite is a soft mineral and there will nearly always be some slight surface imperfections when it is tumbled or polished. However, these are as smooth as you can find Shungite. These are nice pieces of quite a rare mineral. Size Large, approx. 25-28mm

Physical
Shungite is a remarkable mineral of uncertain origin. It is a natural non-crystalline Carbon whose formation has been dated to approximately 2 billion years ago. The problem being that 2 billion years ago there were no plants or life on earth to create Carbon! Shungite also contains a rare form of Carbon called Buckminster Fullerenes, one of only 4 modifications of Carbon ever discovered.
